Quiet Time

So nothing too major happened today but I just did my daily quiet time and it was hilarious. I will copy and paste it and then go into more detail.

Psalm 127
   ¹Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
   ²It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
   ³Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
   ⁴As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
   ⁵Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Here is my response as to how to apply it to my life. It pretty much says what it needs to :)

Hilarious! God gives us sleep and a bunch of kids. That makes me laugh out loud. It also is a realization that we need to trust in the Lord for everything, including sleep when it seems impossible. Children are my heritage. I need to pour into them as much as possible to leave a good heritage. I must train them up to trust and love the Lord AS I DO (I need to be the example). What an undertaking!! Praise the Lord and pray to the Lord that I do what He guides me to do. PS, still laughing about the whole sleep and kids thing.
